I made this necklace recently from a kit that included letters, shapes, and laces. The shapes represent activities I do with Sal in the day, such as eating, cleaning up from eating, and playing. They are laced on in a particular order so that I can talk to Sal about the cycle of our day together. This system is working out very well for me because it allows me to be flexible about time without being an inconsistent parent.

That necklace is a fantastic idea. Does it seem to be working? I don't think I am consistent enough to stick to the same routine every day, even without the constraint of clocks. I bet Sal likes that system.
